Korey's Bio

For my 4th birthday, I received a box of 64 Crayolas with the built-in sharpener and within minutes, I had my first work of art in a showing. Okay, so it was on my grandmother's refrigerator, but nonetheless, I was thrilled.

As I got older, I became discouraged with my art as I had great ideas in my head, but just didn't know how to translate them. I tried pencils and paints and even sculpting, but just couldn't quite make it happen.

By the age of 14, I had found a great outlet for artist expression...makeup!

That was in the days of blue eyeliner and purple eye shadow, mind you, but Madonna and I looked great, as did my mom, and my sisters, my neighbors, my classmates, and once the cat! I also had a knack for hairstyling and so they lined up at my door before prom and frat parties.

My college guidance counselor told me that my degree in Organizational Communication would prepare me for a career doing "anything." Well, what if I didn't want to do anything but play dress up? No problem- I stumbled into a shop in the mall called HEADSHOTS and not only were people playing dress up, but they were getting photographed, too!

Ah, home, sweet home.

Flash forward to 16 years later. I have gone from makeup artist to photographer, to studio manager, to corporate trainer, to VP of Marketing and Operations, to partner, to franchisor (20 locations) to sole owner to former owner (sold 1999 and had a 6 year run as a graphic designer and marketing teacher) and now, by popular demand, I am back in business!

Since picking up the camera again, I have been re-inspired and have gone way beyond just headshots and therefore the name has changed to Korey Howell Photography.

With the benefit of great lighting, skilled posing, and creative concepts, you will look like you...just the very best version of you.

Anything I can’t fix with photography, I can fix with Photoshop! Believe it or not, I can fix those little imperfections like blemishes, wrinkles and, yes, even a double chin. I offer a 10 year-10 pound guarantee!

I consider myself a “Photo Stylist.” I have an eye for composition and for finding flattering angles. I don’t shoot stale, stiff or formal poses. I prefer to capture a moment in time that expresses who you are.

Shine, baby, shine!

Looking forward to meeting you!

Kudos

I just wanted to let you know that the pictures were a hit! My boyfriend actually liked the one where I smiling the biggest....wouldn't you know he went cute over sexy, see what I know?? Anyway, you were such a pleasure to work with and you took GREAT pictures. Thanks again! --Laurie Caudle

It was great to meet you this weekend. I have to admit that I was having a good time & was a little disappointed when the session was over. Never thought I would say that about being photographed! You made me feel very at ease and I felt some other "moods" in me coming out. Very strange indeed. Connie told me you were good to work with and a fun person.  --Shelby Parker

Thanks to the very flattering photos you took of me, my only problem now is finding time to answer all the emails I am receiving from the men who have seen them online. I'm being called "pretty," "classy," and even "quite the fox," all thanks to you. -- Andrea Clark

You did a stunningly lovely photo for me at eWN -- THANK YOU so much for this marvelous business tool and work of art. --Judy Brandt

I definitely love your photos, your service and your friendly attitude. I am only advertising your photography business to anyone who asks...and to my business friends and co-workers. --Anney Rehm

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your creativity. I think you're extremely talented at what you do - especially if you can take a mug like mine and make me look like a glamour puss ...LOL . That being said I will do my best to refer you to anyone I can. Thanks a bunch lady bug ;-) -- Pat Zengri aka Madame Butterfly

Corporate Kudos

My contact, Anya, forwarded this email she received about the corporate photo shoot I did at her office:

"On behalf of the Executive Team and Mentors, I want to thank you for coordinating the corporate photo shoot. The experience was professional, very well planned out and receiving the touched-up final pictures the same day was extraordinary. I was very impressed with them, the process and the pictures. The price for this kind of service was very reasonable. I've seen less professional pictures (with no touch ups) done (at their studio) for much more. From a marketing stand point, these pictures will add to our credibility, professionalism and personal connection. Our target audience should relate to us as people they will want to work with. Not to mention we are a great looking group of people! I have received nothing but positive feedback about the pictures, including statements like "wow", "those are awesome" and "lots of positive energy". I'm going to put them up on the web site today! Anya, thank you again for making this happen!"
